my hotpoint wf865a is stuck on rinse and spin mode ans displays 1 second remaining. The water is not emptying from the machine therefore i am unable to open. someone please help!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Sounds like a heater problem. When a heater fault occurs, machine stops at 1 minute. Only solution is to change heater.
