Hi, my rover 216sli auto idles at 1000rpm causing the car to 'creep' excessively and requires a good shove on the brakes to hold it. The idle should be about 900rpm but I can't figure how to adjust it. Any ideas?
look on the accelerator cable where it attatches to the engine, there should be a bolt you can tighten or loosen to drop the revs, keep engine running when doing it so you know what it's idle is at.
