How can i fix my Seimens dishwasher model SE 24200 GB?

My Seimens dishwasher will not empty and retains water in the base after it has completed its programme.
How can i check to see if the pump is working, and replace it if required

Touch the pump (in the back) and feel if its hot or humming. If it is, then check if hoses from it are blocked. One of these is clear, so thats easy. Its the drainage hoses that might have congress compress grease, and other build-up - make sure this hose runs freely.

My dishwasher return hose to the drain clogs up all the time (probably due to infrequent use of the dishwasher), so check if there's flow coming into the drain.
