is your cooler fan working?

aaron, April 2009
If the radiator is getting hot to the touch - together with the top and bottom hoses, which should get hot the moment the thermostat opens, it shows that there is water flow around the engine. Does the vehicle have an electrical cooling fan? Does it come on? Is there any signs of an oily emulsion in the radiator water? Is there a possibility that the temperature gauge is faulty, and its not actually overheating at all?
