Could anyone advise me as to where to locate the Airflow Meter in the above vehicles engine. I have a problem with the engine management light coming on and losing power. I am going to try to replace the flow meter in the hope this will rectify the problem.

my 2001 zafira dti has the engine management light on yet again - just spent £450 on repairs..
only 55,000 on clock and looked after from new, advised to get rid of it as it could be many things wrong ????
very sad as the car is good to drive but whats the piont of management systems when they cant pinpiont the problem!

Would it not make more sense to get a proper diagnostic check done, i.e. live data tests of the various sensors and actuators, NOT just a basic coderead which many garages claim to be a 'diagnostic'?
There are lots of independents offering this nowadays, a few 'phone calls could save you a lot of time, money and grief.
Although the AFM is a common failure, there are too many possibilities to make random part replacement economic or practical.

Its directly after the air filter box on the engine side, in the large diameter plastic pipe.
