I have a 1994 renualt laguna 2.2. At low revs, 1500rpm or lower in any gear, the engine seems to misfire but its ok when i increase throttle or get above 2000rpm and the engine ideals ok
I had this on a one year old 2.2 on cruising at exactly 1900 revs any gear with light throttle. The renault sales garage took it back replaced a part of the fuel line. It was pulling air into the fuel system, I was told and the car ran smoothly for 8 years until the hydraulic throttle damper failed .

May be diesel filter or inline filter needing change ......had this problem with a mercedes diesel and that solved it
