resetting my ICU?

I have a ford escort 1.8 R reg and i think the ICU needs resetting anyone help please

Hi, I think you are refering to the engine ECU? if so it can only be reset with a diagnostic code reader, on earlier models you could reset it by disconnecting the battery but you also need the radio security code number
