Zanussi Dryer tc7103w working but not generating heat?

My zanussi dryer will work normally but will not generate any heat and dry the clothes. Please advise on how I may fix this problem as I don't know where any parts that need to be checked or changed on the machine are located.

Hi Claire its certainly possible for you to have a go with your dryer, but it will need to be put on a table with access all round really.
However, please remember that I only offered an opinion that it is the element at fault - there are other possibilities but I'm 95% sure, based on experience.
For parts try espares on line or 0845 2306230, and quote the exact model and serial number. Driers typically aren't that difficult to take apart and reassemble - it largely depends on your level of confidence really. Good luck if you decide to go ahead! Cheers John

Thanks John for your reply. Can this be done by myself and if so where do I start to get to the element, and where is the best place to get a new element.

It sounds like the heating element has gone, which involves a stripdown with the machine on the bench. The elements are about £70 on this one, I think.
