my d3731fs is not advancing through the wash programme, i have purchased a new timing unit but i am unable to remove the old unit. how do i remove the push button programme dial to get the timer out,

Before you open the packaging of the new timer make sure that is the problem. As any failure of any part can cause the timer to stop. IE Not filling due to faulty valve, would cause the timer to stop waiting for it to fill. faulty element would cause the same, and so on
