How do i remove / Change the ignition barrel from a vauxhall omega 2 litre CD petrol on a M Reg 1995?

Try turning key to position 2 i think and insert a thin piece of stiff wire or similer into the barrel casing to unlock and relaese the barrel.been a while since ive done one
