My hedge trimmers suddenly stopped cutting - I had done half of the hedge, switched off for a couple of minutes and when I switched on again (although the blades still moved side to side) nothing happened. When I put the trimmers up to my hedge it's as if the blades are totally blunt! Any hints as to the problem here?
Don't buy Bosch but buy DeWalt as they are much better.

The switch on my electric Bosch hedge trimmer starts and stops when I'm using it and it won't continue. Help! Can anyone suggest what the problem can be and how it can be repaired.

Bosch have put a pin in the top of one of the Torx screws that hold the AHS 4-16 hedge trimmer together so you can't get it undone without a special tool. Use a screwdriver that just fits into the top of the Torx screws and hammer it down into the screw head. You should then be able to get the screw undone and when it is out remove the pin. Bosch say you don't need to get the trimmer undone as they don't sell any internal spare parts - you have to buy a new hedge trimmer (but not one made by Bosch!).

How did you get your hedgetimmer open? I can't seem to do this as there is one screw that you can get a purchase on. Have cut through the lead of the hedge trimmer and need to repair it. Any thoughts?
