tested my Laurastar premium steam ironing system and found it shorting across live and earth.
unable to use steam part of system due to problem but nothing wrong on the iron itself as it works fine.
can someone shed some light please?

I have the same problem and it appears to be a faulty switch CHERRY Luxim D45X. Finding a replacement part is proving impossible.

Found a technical manual for the Premium, I have same problem as you- when I plug the iron in, it immediately blows the circuit breaker. Haven't had time to take it apart yet & have been trying to find a source for parts without spending hundreds to send it in for "factory repair". Check out www.ramontugues.com/47750/703.pdf
