How do I replace the light bulb in my 1989 ford ranger headlight?

I would like to replace the burnt out light bulb in my headlight of my 1989 ford ranger. What do i have to do?

Ahh the 89' Ranger. Very reliable, but not much fun to change a headlight on. Open the hood and suspiciously eye the offending headlight. Unplug the wiring connector to the headlight socket. Angrilly grasp the black retaining ring and turn it counter-clockwise until you can pull it straight back, and remove it. Pull the 9009 Halogen bulb daintily from the headlight cell. Insatallation is the opposite of removal. Be sure not to touch the new bulb glass as fingerprints on it will severely shorten the lamp's life. Dispose of the old lamp in regular household trash, or throw in your neighbor's yard.
