Its quite an easy job.
Open the boot, there is a black plastic cover held in place by something like 9 plastic screws. Gently unscrew them. The plastic cover then needs a bit of help out, by grabbing it at the top (nearest the back windscreen) and pulling it. When this is off you should be able to see the lock mechanism.
The lock is held in place by two devices. The first is the metal bracket that is held in by screws. Simply remove screws and the plate.
The second is a metal plate that you need to knock off by placing a screw driver on the lip and knocking it.
Now that the lock unit is loose, you unhook the lock from the metal latch, and rehook the new one in.
The metal plate clips back in, and the reassembly is the reverse of removal.
