Those typically had a single red wire with connector, that should have at least 13V DC when around 3200 rpm. The other wire is coming from the ignition coil (white, black, or green) is for grounding the ignition to shut down the engine. The only other electical is the starter positive stud, which of course, gets connected to the solenoid with a heavy guage cable. Sometimes the kill wire and charging wire are together in a 2 pin connector.
