You Need an OFTEC Registered Technician to diagnose this one as could be several possiblies, from a block oil filter or Nozzle to a failed Oil Pump us OFTEC Guys carry parts for this very common Burner and will have it working again in half an hour!

The starting sequence is like this: Switch on, fan and motor starts up and runs for about 8 sec to purge the flue with fresh air, then ignition starts (spark at the electrodes) and the oil is electrically switched on at the oil pump. The burner should light; if the photocell detects flame then it keeps going - if it doesn't, the lockout lamp comes on and you can try again. If the coil (3 wires on the top of the pump) has failed, the oil wont be let through. Thats my guess, but naturally there are several other possibilities.
