My Neff oven keeps tripping out?

I have a Neff U1721NOGB/01 oven. Purchased 13.12.2000. The main (circotherm) oven has recently begun to blow a fuse after so many minutes of being switched on (or when reaching a certain temperature perhaps). When I reset the trip switch, it is OK for a very short while before tripping out again. The top oven performs perfectly well. Can you suggest what may be the problem?

I also have a Neff U1721 oven, which has the same problem. I also had a new element two years ago, it has made Xmas awful, I had to stop next to the trip box whilst the Turkey cooked. I will try a new element to see if it cures the problem.

Yes, finally got resolved - it was the element that was to blame. I replaced it with a genuine part and it works fine now. The element I had in their previously wasn't a genuine Neff part and I'd only had it for less than 12 months before it went faulty.

My learning from this has been to install genuine parts only. You can get genuine parts called E.G.O produced by the German manufacturer cheaper than under the Neff brand name.

Hope that helps.

Has anyone resolved this issue ? Ours heats up and at low temps seems fine - upto 200degrees and it blows the breaker

I have the same problem! Everytime the main oven is on, at a random point it will trip the electric! If the oven is cooking at 200 it will trip constantly, if it’s at a lower temperature it will only sometimes trip? Sometimes just turning the oven off it will trip! Just can’t work it out and my sparky mate cant either!!

I also have a U1721 and have replaced the main fan oven heating element a number of times over the years, and each time it has gone faulty it has tripped the main fuse box, so I guess your problem is the element.

Hi
We moved into our new house and it already had the cooker installed and we are having exactly the same problem.
It is a Neff U1721 double oven. When I turn the bottom (main) oven on it trips the main on the fuse box and everything in the house goes off.
When I use the top oven its fine.
I am now baffled by this, hence, I am seeking any advice.

I'm having exactly the same problem with my oven. I need to do some experimenting but had the idea that it could be when the fan kicks in. Does this fit what you are seeing?
