I found an easy way to fix this. My light stayed on beacuse I left it go for too long with the container full. So I pulled out the dryer and disconnected the black hose from the top of the dryer (it twisted out). I let this hang down and turned it on. A load of water come out and then turned it off. Re-attached the hose and all was sorted - light off!

how do you remove the plastic cover/box at the back to check this?

Thanks Pete, I have tipped it up and water comes out,the dryer works again for a little while then It happens again. Is it easy enough to get the plastic box open ?

Found this on another site::
Unplug the appliance from the wall socket.
Turn the machine around and at the bottom right you'll see a plastic box /cover with two hoses going into it.
Open this cover and you'll find the drain pump and float switch. Check that the float isn't stuck.. If the container is full of water then check the pump isn't blocked or jammed. ***(Use a multimeter to test for continuity across the pump terminals.)*** WARNING! LIVE ELECTRICAL CONNECTIONS!!! UNPLUG DRYER FIRST*********
Finally, check there are no blockages in the hoses.
This worked for my dryer.....

Hi, If you turn dryer on its side and let the water drain from bottom collector, it should heat up again. It seems that the water pump doesn't work properly and you will have to do this every 6 - 12 months when water light comes on!
