My DSC alarm keeps bleeping and a trouble light illumiates on the keypad. British gas say i need a new battery and will charge £110.!! Can I do this myself and what codes etc will I need to switch it back on again

you can pick up replacement batteries for around £10 - £15 but take your old one with you to the electrical store to get the right type, you can fit it in under 10 mins and you should be able to reset the panel with your user code. the battery has 2 wires with spade conectors ALWAYS OBSERVE THE CORRECT POLARITY + AND -

Don't you have a service contract with them, if you have the cost should be included in your annual charge?

No service contract, not a good idea, that price compares with other, real, alarm companies.
