MAYTAG DEFROSTING?

MY MAYTAG SIDE BY SIDE KEEPS AUTOMATICALLY DEFORSTING. THE FIRST TIME IT HAPPENED I CLEANED THE GRILL OUT UNDER THE DOOR AND IT WAS FULL OF FLUFF AND TURNED THE POWER OFF THEN BACK ON AND IT SEEMED TO WORK BUT IT HAS HAPPENED AGAIN. ANY IDEAS?
