How to fix a marble top to a cast iron pedestal?

This is a heavy table constructed from a circular marble top (of 910mm diam and 25mm thick) and a cast iron pedestal (710mm high) which rests on three legs. No manufacturer marks are shown. It lives outside on the patio and, surprisingly, it is quite stable.
The marble top has been glued to a wooden plate of 5-ply (300mm diam, 12mm thick)which is bolted to the pedestal.
The wood and the marble have parted company and I would like advice on what adhesive to use to reunite them.
