I have a 2003 Jeep cherokee 2.8 CRD where is the factory fitted immobiliser and how do i override it.

I too have a 2003 2.8CRD, I am having engine problems when it slows down, the engine cuts off for 20min's then restarts itself, I am thinking it could be the immobiliser and want to turn it off.
