Cut cable, replaced cable -> still nothing?

Evening all,

I cleverly cut thru my Black and Decker GT230 hedge trimmer cable this afternoon.

I cut off the split cable, opened her up and replaced the wires into the trigger mechanism, after closing and reattaching all parts still nothing?

I've checked the fuse which appears fine. Is there a secondary reset switch that I'm missing?!

Annoyed that I've been beaten by a hedge trimmer...

Thanks

I have the same problem. I cut the cable by mistake, since the cut was near the plug, I removed the plug and fixed the plug where I had cut the wire. Now the hedge trimmer does not start up. Initially I thought it was a loose connection, but I have checked and rechecked and whatever I do I cannot get the trimmer to work. I don't know if it is jammed and I don't know how to check.
Can I know where the fuse is located, mine is a Black and Decker GT25.

Update:

Altho the fuse looked fine, just to check I swapped it with the strimmer, and low and behold ... the fuse was blown!

At least it's fixed now!
