How do I correctly replace the door catch on my Indesit 1263W washer?
The plastic door handle on my Indesit 1263W washing machine snapped. I have the correct replacement part. Taking the door off, taking it apart & putting it back together is no problem.
How though, do I correctly assemble the new door handle so that it works? A pivot pin, wire tension spring, metal catch and the handle go together, but at the moment I cannot get any spring tension on the handle. Which way around does the metal catch go, i.e. is the notch facing outwards? Which way does the spring fit?
