My service light "check injection system" keeps comming on everyday i have taken it to renault they have connected the car to the computer and it does not show a fault. Why is the light comming on I have had my Koleos for just over a month.... and it is brand new..... please help because renault Pinetown SA does not know what the fault is

I bought an almost brand new koleos dci dynamique premium and at 4000km the check injection system fault showed. took it to renault dealer who did a regen. 700 km later the same warning has appeared. will ask them to check glowplugs. btw my car starts fine. Irritating problem.

From a UK website this is what they say:

I own a 58 plate Koleos Dynamic L 4X4 that has now covered 16000 miles from new. There is a problem with the Catalytic converter clean down system which brings up a warning [ Check Injection System ]I am told this is because I do not thrash the engine enough to clean the converter out, resulting in an expensive diagnostic and labour to do a regeneration process at the Renault dealership. Surely the competition Nissan etc could let Renault into the secret on how to engineer this recurring problem out of the car. So if you drive with reasonable care to enjoy fuel economy be prepared to lose it all on the regeneration job. Nice work for your dealers garage Renault, bad for your customers. I have since found out this is not an uncommon problem with this reburn exhaust system.

If this is a diesel vehicle, ask the dealer to check the individual performance of each glow plug...often enough a failure of one of these goes largely unnoticed because the car starts well enough anyway!
