Its a good idea to check to see what sort of blades you have fitted - flat blades are the mulching type that allow the grass clippings to drop out of the bottom of the machine, whilst blades which have turned up ends allow the grass to be shot up into the grass catcher. Either way, the faster the blades turn, the better the grass will be dispersed from the machine.
