how can i fix my central locking on my peugeot 206, v reg?

when i press the button on the key AND when i put the key in the door the car locks and then unlocks straight away, this is a big problem as i'm having to leave it unlocked. is it just the battery in the key or a bigger problem?

On alot of peugeots there was a problem with wiring in the door loom, the wires you can see in the rubber sleeve when you open the drivers door. There were tiny cuts in the wiring that over time broke and its usually just a matter of joining them up again.
