Fixing Hoover tumle dryer tv630?

My Hoover tumble dryer TV630 has started making a noise and getting extremely hot at the back of the drum where it would burn your fingers. Is it worth fixing. Someone told me it could be the 2 castors that the drum goes round on and they have worn. It is 3 yrs old,not a great week as the washing machine broke too. Not impressed with Hoover!!!

Hi there,
unfortunatly this is not your week. it is not cost effective to get it fixed the parts you need will come to £160.00 before labour charges I know mine has just gone today and i am a trained domestic Appliance repairer I have bought a second hand one of EBay for peanuts so i will at least get one out off the 2. so I think you should cut your loses and scrap it. It is a common fault on the early hoover six model the drum mount at the back eventually breaks and it sounds like yours is on its way ( just like mine it made lots of grinding and squealy noises) get rid and buy a Zanussi.
