how can i fix my miele revolution 500 vacuum cleaner?
my miele revolution 500 vacuum cleaner keeps cutting out when i try to increase the power. The cleaner operates at a constant speed when i remove the hose that has the controls
I have a similar problem and one of the causes is dirt building up on the contacts and the rings which conduct power from the flexible part of the hose into the switch in the handle. Have got some improvement by cleaning the contacts but have not managed to completely eliminate the problem which is definitely associated with movement of the handle whilst in use

Mine has just decided not to work as well. Are they programmed to stop this month?
Loss of power. The red warning light has lit up. What does that mean? I've lost the handbook.

One of three things:
bad control electronic in the hose (not sure if you can get it without buying the entire hose); bad hose (wire, connection issue someplace in it); the electroclutch on the canister (where the hose plugs in).
