How can I replace bowl drive for KM32?

Braun mixer model KM32B type 4122. I opened up the mixer head, with the oil inside. Removed two screws holding a beam across however was not able to remove anything else in order to be able to access to the bowl drive (part #: 700091). How can I remove it?

The Bowl drive has a plastic gear sitting on the top end. This gear is a push fit onto a cotter pin thru the shaft under the gear. Pulling on the gear while holding the business end of the drive tight should free it up and slide off. You may need to use some leather gloves since the gear is quite sharp. Also remember that the plastic gear can be fragile (considering its age) so don't use a screwdriver etc to pry it off. Also there are a number of red fiber washers all along the shaft so remember to mark/make a note of their position/s. One you have the gear off, slide the cotter pin out and you can then slip the drive shaft out of the gear box..... Bast of luck and my tip, take lots of pics at each stage of disassembly ...

Hi Jim - I have the part but also don't know how to fix....did you have any luck?

Hi Jim, I have been a Braun agent for a very long time but my memory of this lovely old mixer has faded. You will also struggle to obtain parts, I know from the UK we have not been able to supply parts for 20 years or so, the only option I can offer you is to contact a Canadian company called "abtecparts". I see the item still on there website and they may be kind enough to offer some advice. Hope this has been of some help. Jason at BRAUN SERVICE
