How can I change the headlamp bulb on my Ford Mondeo?

I have an R Reg Ford Mondeo hatchback and the offside headlamp is not working although the parking light is ok.

if you have small hands, you should be able to reach down and lift the metal retaining bar at the back of the light, this will release the dust cover and splash cover to the light, carefully, unhook the cover and move it toward the radiator, you will then have full access to the bulbs, it is now just a simple bit of unclipping the light bulb spring clip and the wiring socket from the bulb, you can then remove the bulb and replace it and fit the spring clip back the, you might need to use a screw driver to pull the retaining bar back over the cover.

Dunno when R reg is, but mondeo Mk2 is a pain. From memory ... Remove front Grille by removing screws on top of back of grille, then pulling forward. Remove screws securing light in position (3 no.). Disconnect cable plugs. Remove entire light, remove back cover, replace correct bulb.

Simple.
