gilera dna 125 wont start?

when i attach the battery to the bike, it tries to start on its own with out the key in, which eventually start to flatten the battery, it makes a turning sound but will not fire

the starter solenoid is jammed or shorting out - just replace it - you can identify it as follows: it is square and either brown or cream and it has 2 x big spade connectors and 2 x small spade connectors - make sure you disconnect the battery first

Has someone tried to pinch it? I would remove and then ensure all your connections are sound an make sure no one has had a go at it.. A wire diagram will help. if you have not got one just follow all wires from ignition and ensue they are clean and tight. Do this with battery off. It is simple just take your time finding the dodgy connection. Check electric starter cnnections as well.
