My xk8 wont change from 1st gear, Then after a while of driving it starts to work correctly until i turn the engine off.
Is the gearbox broken or does it sound like an electrical fault.

sounds like the ecu for the gearbox.i had one that was hard fault to find but it turned out to be getting damp.i took it out dry,d over night then put back in.i notice dthe housing wasnt sealed correctly.mine was doing the same not changing up gears ,if you were going up a slight incline it seemed to be worse
