Hi

On my Indesit IDL40 I get the above fault - the machine starts up but stays in the state where indicator 2 just flahses continuously. No other lights flash. The instruction book says 'water load solenoid malfunction alarm' - call an engineer. Obviously I would rather not do this as the charge will no doubt be almost as much as a new machine!

Has anyone fixed this problem themselves?

Is it worth trying or has the machine had it?

Any ideas really for things to try before I have to eiher call an engineer or send the dishwasher to the big kitchen in the sky....

I had this problem with my Indesit DI450. On mine I took the right hand side panel off and located the valve (has a small hose connected to it). Water was getting in, triggering the alarm. Blowing this through cured the problem.
