sounds more like a head gasket fault, first run the engine till warm then remove the plugs, they should all be hot, a cold plug means that cylinder is not firing, check for water in the oil, you will get a deposit on the oil cap, if any of these are apparent sounds like head gasket issues, is it using lots of water??

hi the commen problem is the coil pack breaking down, which is located on the back of the passenger cylinder head and its a basterd to get to aswell.
