i have a vauxhall vectra 1.8 and the rad fan will not shut off.i have disconnected the switch and i have changed the thermostat as advised but the problem is still there.what else can stop fan from switching off.i have to disconnect the battery if i drive the car anywhere to turn the fan off.

SOUNDS LIKE YOU HAVE A SHORT TO THE FAN, YOU NEED TO CHECK THE CONNECTIONS ON A METER.
