how do i take Maytag dryer (model #LDE8424ACE)apart to replace belt?

How do I remove the drum to replace the belt on a Maytag dryer (model # LDE8424ACE)

There are 3 screws at the front of the dryer about 4 inches up from the bottom - they are hard to see as they are at an angle towrds the floor. Remove the 3 screws and pull the door towards you from the bottom - the lugs at the top will then disengage.
Remove the innner door by removing 2 hex head screws on each side.
You now have access to the drum and you can change the belt.

After fitting the belt, I find it easier to fit the belt on the tensioner pulley from the rear access dorr.

Good luck,

Hello,

To release the front panel use a putty knife and push in on the spring clips (there are two). Then I believe two screws hold down the top panel once the front is off.
