Peugeot 106 fan belt cost?

How much will a new fan belt cost if it does need replacing? My dad says they should need replacing after a certain amount of millege. is that true?

The fan belt costs less than £10 and a garage should fit it for around 1/2 hour labour charge. There is no specific time stated to change them, but they need to be inspected for fraying or cracks from time to time. If you want to be on the safe side, change the belt at 30,000 mile intervals and check the tension regularly.
