Chevy Lumina not turning over at times?

I have a 1998 Chevy Lumina. Twice in the last month when I tried to start my car nothing happened at all. No battery turning over and no sound at all. I checked the cables and all were fine. After trying multiple times I let the car sit for 10 minutes and than the car started right up with no problem. Any suggestions?

Thanks

Thanks for the info. It's not the original battery and I don't have any anti-theft system on it but I will check the voltage on the starter at the purple wire next time it happens

Thanks again

If it the original battery in the car from the factory they were bad for internal bad connections on the battery ...
You don`t have any anti theft lights on do ya >?
There was also a problem with the key cylinders having a loose wire for the theft system sometimes having a code stored ...
Will almost have to duplicate problem and check to see if voltage is @ starter on purple wire when it happens ect.
