Where can I find someone to replace the cord on my Rowenta Steam Iron?

How do I find someone to replace the cord on my Rowenta Steam Iron? I've been using electrical tape but I'm aware that's not the solution. Any help would be appreciated! I live in Massachusetts. Thanks.

Years ago I used to mend things like irons - taking them apart and putting in a new cord was easy to do - the last couple of irons I've looked into have defeated me.

They appear to design them to be unrepairable - the cost of an average iron made in China is often about the same as the labour and parts for a repair so it makes sense just to throw away and buy new.

If you can find somebody in Mass or anywhere else then set yourself up as an agent for them... Yellow pages might have something.

Good luck...
