Hope you didn't have to pay for that useless piece of information. If you think about it, nobody has any control over where the clothes move to when the agitator is washing. So it makes no difference how you place the clothes. Just make sure you don't have just one heavy item in with a lot of small light items. If bowl still goes out of balance then you have a problem that needs fixing. Phone a Maytag experienced service person & insist on a proper diagnosis & repair. If they don't repair the fault then don't pay them.
