hi norman changing a d/belt is not that difficult, its basically removing the left hand side engine casing, then taking off the front pulley (variator) on the side of your engine, whipping off the old belt, replacing it with the new 1 & screwing back on the pulley. your problem in doing this is you either need a tool for holding the pulley so you can unscrew it or the use of an air gun to do the same job. you should be able to get the tool you need in any good bike shop but most important thing to do 1st is get yourself a HAYNES MANUAL. it will have step by step pix to guide you along. hope this helps........happy motoring.
