turbo lag on 1995 mondeo td?

After hard accelleration I get a definate lag of turbo at about 2500 revs then it seems to run o.k. any answers.The engine has done 50,000 miles and serviced every 6,000 miles, the previous owner drove the car very steady from new as you can see by the milage.

This is quite normal on this type of mondeo, the turbo only comes in arount 2500 rpm, this is a problem with nearly all tubo diesel of this age, recent devolopments have improved this however. I hope this answers your question.
