hotpoint revesomatic 9325 dryer where is thermostat?

i have a hotpoint reversomatic 9325 tumble dryer it still works but there is no heat this would suggest heating element or thermostat. i can find the heating element but have no idea where to find the thermostat on it. can someone help me with this and also is there a way of testing which of these may be faulty. thanks

Oh sorry thermostat switches will always be right beside the heating element inorder to sense the temp of these and control the switching of the element.

Obviously these checks should be done with the mains plug removed.

Been a while since I had a hotpoint apart but when I did the element and thermostat switches were normally located at the front of the dryer and involved removing the front panel with the dryer laying on it's back.
Thermostat switches are normally closed switches until the desired temp is reached and then they become open so using a multimeter on the ohms range you will normally expect a low ohms reading close to 0.
The element is basically just a coil of wire and expect a reading of about 20 to 50 ohms. Obviously if the reading obtained is high then it is likely faulty.
