My Dyson upright vacumn has stopped picking up from the carpet. It seems to lack suction. What do you think is wrong with it and how do I fix it.

With most upright vacuums , and Dyson is no exception , one or more of the pipes to the dust holder are probably blocked. Disconect from mains , and work your way around the dust pick up routes, typical blockages are wraps of paper , tin foil and tinsel , rubber bands and coins around 2p in diameter

Check small flexible hose beneath cleaner. If it is torn you can get new one cheaply from Dyson Parts and easily replace it
