My Cannon Gas Oven igniter keeps clicking even when the flame is on?

How can I fix this myself?
Once the oven has been turned on and the flame is burning, the igniter keeps on clicking. Any ideas why?

I've answered this question elsewhere on this site. It's a faulty spark generator. They are easy to replace but you have to disconnect the gas pipe from the bayonet fitting at the rear of the cooker. As any gas work needs to be done by a registered Gas Safe installer you should leave it to a professional. Indesit (who now own Canon) will come out and do it but it will cost £100 plus.

I have the same problem with my leisure rangemaster 55 auto gas cooker when the oven is first lit - the ignitions on the hob keep firing. Normally these won't spark when I want to light the hob and I have to use a lighter stick. But they are driving me mad as they are continuously clicking.
