RE Speedo and rev counter question?

Forgot to say that the vehicle is a Ford Iveco 59 12 'N' reg !!!

Speedometer problem probably requires a new flexible drive cable - the old one has probably broken due to fatigue. Not a major job. May be possible to use the old sheath and just get a new cable made up.

Pure guesswork !! I bought the vehicle recently and the speedo was not working then, it has been off the road since !!

timing belt snapping will have caused damage probably.
you will only know this by either stripping off the cylinder head or by taking a chance and fitting a new belt and trying to start the engine.
other faults could be a fuse but how do you know what speed you where doing if the speedo was not working ??????????????????????????????????????
