Peugeot 206 suspension?

Suspension has collapsed on front left side. Is this a job I would be able to do myself. Spring has snapped.

any tips / suggestions on how to replace welcome

you may be able to take old spring out depending where it has snapped and if it is still compressed, but to fit a new spring you will definetley need spring compressors. can be dangerous if you dont know what you are doing as spring can fly off and hit anything in its path. you will need to buy spring compressors. you have to take whole suspension leg off. bottom ball joint off, driveshaft out of hub, droplink off, caliper off ,track rod end off and top mount off. then compress spring (dangerous bit)and undo nut holding top mount on. compress new spring and refit top mount and fit to car.
