antipollution fault pugeot 206 hdi?

My pugeot 206 hdi shows antipollution fault sometimes when I turn the car on. Also occassionally when I am driving the dials (speedo etc) start moving erratically up and down for a few seconds and then return to normal. any ideas would be appreciated
thanks!

The dials sound like a battery or charging fault to me. However the coolant temperature sensor is notorious for causing problems too when it plays up. However there could be many other causes. I'd take it to a diagnostic centre to see what faults show up. Your Peugeot dealer will charge for this but it should be better than replacing parts willy-nilly.
