Ford Falcon AU-98 Passenger electric window problem. Need help?

Hi,

My passenger side electric window will always go down, and only sometimes come up. Last night it went down and never came back up and rained all night, so now I have a pretty wet car.
Has anyone experienced issues with the electric window doing this and how did you fix it? Your help is much appreciated

Cheers Yani

if your window does not go up after all the other tips, take off the door panel, find the wiring conector from the motor, get a battery & some thin wire ,pull off the plug that under the electric motor, put 1 wire on one of the pins & one on the other pin, the window will ether go up or down , then your car is secure, until you can find your parts

Hmm, common problem obviously, same prob here but mine was working fine with drivers control panel untill yesterday, I thought my motor was fried. Did not know what to do, untill I read this page ,thank you Conquest.
Still not sure why it stopped working from panel on drivers side, but swapping the rear over solved it.

I had the same problem on my 2001 Ford Falcon XR6. I just swapped the backdoor swicth to the front just to wind the window up until I got a new switch.

I had this problem in my wife's eb "s", turned out to be a "dry joint" on the circuit board for the power windows, resoldered the dodgy wire on the pc board, fixed the problem.

Yes, I had this problem with two windows. It was dirty contacts in the switches. Relatively easy job to get the switch out, then carefully prise the rocker out to expose the contacts. Take note of how everything is arranged. Clean the contacts and reassemble. Problem solved.
